ARCHITECTURE
The landscape across Canada’s Gros Morne National Park (Newfoundland) vary greatly - fjords jutting out from lakes, mountains with cracks like that of fresh baked bread, and hazy meadows accented by strange flowers.
Inspired by sublime art, each photo across this series aims to capture the humbling nature and individuality of each environment.
I
FAÇADE
Two hikers left the trail I was on and embarked on an unmarked path. I watched as their backs gradually evaporated somewhere between the mustard-coloured canyons and the fog.
II
FLATS
The sky - unobstructed here - had a weight that competed with the collage of landscapes that lived below it: treelines, hills, meadows and mountains.
III
FJORD
Something felt very familiar about passing between these massive towering walls that emerged abruptly from tar-coloured surfaces. Pushing up against the clouds, these structures felt more deserving of the skyscraper title than those I often walked between in the city.
